he Assembly Elections will be held in Telangana on November 30, the Election Commission of India (ECI) declared. The date of counting is December 3.

As the founder and national president of the All India Mahila Empowerment Party, Nowhera Shaik has consistently championed the rights and interests of women across the country. She has tirelessly worked towards creating opportunities for women to participate in the political process, and her party’s mission aligns perfectly with the goals of the bill.

The Need for Gender Balance In Politics

Gender balance in politics is not merely a matter of representation; it is a fundamental requirement for a thriving democracy. Women make up a substantial portion of the population, and their perspectives and experiences must be adequately reflected in the decisions that affect their lives.

With the Election Commission of India on Monday announcing  assembly elections in five states (MP, Rajasthan, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram), the All India Mahila Empowerment Party chief and entrepreneur Nowhera Shaikh has said that he party will fight on all seats in the five states going to the polls in November 2023.

The Election Commission of India said that polling commences on November 7 while counting is scheduled for December 3.

Expressing enthusiasm and optimism, Shaikh said that her party and its candidates are ready to fight elections on every assembly seat In all the five states going to the polls. “Our National President Dr Nowhera Shaikh has said that the party will field candidates on all the seats in these states and she hopes that her candidates will perform well,” said a spokesperson of her. Our party will kickstart the campaign soon and we reaffirm our commitment to serve the people.”

Making women’s empowerment the central theme and goal of her party, she said that the party will work for social justice, women’s empowerment and interests of the diverse communities. She had said earlier: “Our party stands for inclusivity and equal opportunities. If we form the government, we will focus on bridging the gaps and creating a society where every voice is heard, and every dream is achievable”

She added that empowerment of women and marginalised communities has been at the core of her mission. “We are committed to creating an environment where everyone can thrive, regardless of his or her background, socio- economic condition,” she said.
